Biography

Winner of the 22nd edition of the BDMG Instrumental Award (2023), bassist Camila Rocha is a prominent figure in the Minas Gerais music scene.
At just 30 years old, she has collected several other awards, such as:

Young Instrumentalist of BDMG (2014);

Best Accompanying Instrumentalist at the 18th edition of BDMG Instrumental (2018);
-
New Jazz Talents Competition, at the Savassi Festival, with the group Quarteto Dois a Dois (2019);
-
Best Accompanying Instrumentalist at the 23rd edition of BDMG Instrumental (2024).

In 2023, she released her first work as a composer and arranger, the EP Rama, with a launch show held on March 8, 2024, at the BNDES Cultural Space, in Rio de Janeiro. With her solo project, Camila has already performed on important Instrumental Music stages, such as Instrumental SESC Brasil, at SESC Consolação (São Paulo), Savassi Festival (Belo Horizonte) and the Tudo é Jazz Festival (Ouro Preto).
He has played with musicians and artists such as Alceu Valença, Mônica Salmaso, Chico Amaral, Juarez Moreira, Fernanda Takai, Morais Moreira, Toninho Horta, Ná Ozzetti, Duda Beat, among others.
She recorded bass on more than 20 albums.
